Venture Capital 101: What Every PR Practitioner Needs to Know

When:  Wednesday, January 23, 2018 6:00 PM – 8:00 PM EST

Strategic public relations is essential for any startup, and doing it well requires PR practitioners to have a keen understanding of the funding world. While terms like Series A, angel investment, term sheets and exits can seem daunting, they don’t have to be.

Join us for an educational, informative program that will demystify the language of startup funding and provide you with a foundation for success that includes what to say and when – and importantly, what not to say.

Matt Burke, a marketing and communications executive with decades of experience in startups and venture capital, will provide an overview of the venture capital world, with a focus on what PR and communications pros need to know most as part of executing their programs. In the session, Matt will answer questions about the startup world, ensuring attendees leave the event not only feeling like they understand the vocabulary, but can actually put it to use.

The session will be hosted at Version 2.0 Communications and food and beverage will be served.
