Briefly summarize your background. What kind of industry/clients do you work with?

My PR career began in consumer active lifestyle, representing and traveling with a variety of outdoor industry clients, including those involved in clean water and public health initiatives, which is what ultimately led me to healthcare PR. Since I made the switch, I’ve had the pleasure of working with a wide variety of clients ranging from digital health to health tech to insurance to biopharmaceutical. I’m particularly passionate about working with companies addressing social determinants of health and am honored to play a small role in helping improve health outcomes for vulnerable populations.

Describe what you do for PR Club.

I’ve been on the PR Club board for about a year and have been working on the programs team helping to coordinate and support roundtable discussions, speakers and events.

Name your top three favorite things about PR.

  1. Working with changemakers and truly inspiring people all over the world.
  2. Being able to tap into my creative side and help companies refine their messaging and communicate their stories.
  3. There’s always a new opportunity, whether it’s learning about a new industry or subject area, meeting people and establishing new relationships, or testing new marketing strategies, I love how there’s always something new on the horizon.

Do you have a childhood moment when everyone knew you’d be a communications specialist?

I’ve always been a social and talkative person. In fact, my family jokes that when I was younger I never stopped talking. So, I think we always knew I would find a career where communicating was a major part of the job description.

What is your top getaway destination?

I’ve always wanted to go to Egypt!

If you could take a client to any restaurant in Boston where would you go?

Mama Maria – it’s one of my favorite restaurants in the North End.

Go to Dunks order?

Medium iced splash of skim. Can’t lose that coffee taste!
