Internal Communications Manager
The City of Cambridge is seeking a talented and highly motivated Internal Communications Manager to join our diverse and dedicated team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for developing and implementing internal communications strategies and initiatives to enhance transparency, encourage engagement, and ensure efficient information flow across different city departments. A key part of this role involves partnering with the Office of Equity and Inclusion and Human Resources Department to promote a diverse, inclusive, and equitable workplace culture. Bachelor’s Degree in English, Communications, Business Administration, Education, Public Affairs, Public Administration, Marketing, or related area.
Relevant experience may substitute for the degree requirement on a year-for-year basis. Five (5) years of progressively responsible, professional experience in strategic internal communications, including two years (2) of lead or supervisory experience. Experience managing multiple projects and competing priorities. Experience with various content management systems, email marketing platforms, and social media management tools. Track record of creating and managing successful internal communication campaigns. Excellent written and verbal communications skills with experience distilling complex policies and data into engaging, understandable content. $87,520 – $110,578 annually.
